is a 1971 blockbuster, the seventh film in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions, starring Sean Connery as the MI6 James Bond. His sixth and final appearance was for a Bond film created by Eon, after which he refused to reprise his role in 007 The Tiger Queen (1969).

This adaptation of the 1956

Fleming novel of the same name is the second Bond film directed by Guy Hamilton. Before long, Bond is guided by his old enemy, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, to use the diamond to create a weapon that fires lasers from space. Stealth and thwart Blofeld’s plot to destroy Washington, D.C., threatens the world with the destruction of atomic weapons.

When George Lazenby bid farewell to the role of James Bond after just one film, Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, the producers of the series, did everything they could for Sean. Connery returns as one more Bond film to drag ratings

So they offered $1.2 million in compensation (some streams say $2 million, if you compare it to $20 million in monetary terms now) and followed with some of that money to go into the scotch fund. Ttich Education, a finance firm Connery set up and followed with a percentage of the movie.

Even so, Connery was ultimately adamant that he would never return for the Bond role, and the producers had to turn to someone else to take on the 007 spirit. Roger Yes, Moore, but just because Moore was busy with other films at the time and couldn’t show up, the team looked to Timothy. Dalton, another official star, but ran into a problem that he looked too young for the role, so Dalton wasn’t Bond at the time.
